What do the plane_ru and weapon_ru do?

the plane_ru and weapon_ru control how the planes show up in your game list. they are made to control hoe the weapon and plane names look, and they have no effect on gameplay so they are not required.
for example, if i want the F8 by mario 71 to come up in the game as F-8E, 1960, i would use plane_ru line to change that, so i can create plane_ru lines to change this.

Anyway all the _ru files are cosmetic one, all the label you find in the game come from them.
The aircraft name, the loadout name, ecc.
You can change the second part of the string with what you like more.
An esample from the plane_ru.properties:

Fw-190D-13           Fw 190 D-13, 1945

in

Fw-190D-13           The best Dora

In the aircraft list you will find "The best Dora" instead "Fw 190 D-13, 1945"

to add to what danjeje said, the first part of this is the first bit of the air.ini. the second bit is how it comes up in the game, and you can change it to whatever you want.
