Hi All, the tail mapping is an issue that must have been present from the very beginning, as I am not the original author of the complete model, that was Rammbock and he is gone a long time, he left me the project and I continued with it. Never spotted this error with the elevators mapped onto the other surface.

I've cobbled together a small mini-campaign for the VG-33. It is called "Too few, too late":

The campaign, 5 missions long, is set during the final stage of the Battle for France 1940. You are a French Fighter pilot with a newly created Groupe de Chasse, flying the brand new Arsenal VG-33, that has just started to arrive from the factories. The campaign tries to reflect the historical situation, with your unit receiving just a small number of aircraft in June, when defeat is already staring the French in the eyes. The odds are against you, but you and your comrades are not ready to give up...

I'm doing a ficticious WWII campaign  beginning in Sep 1938. Germany, Poland, and Hungary invade and divide Czechslovakia in September. The democracies unexpectedly declare war. The Poles use B135s, and VG33s on the Eastern Front. I've finished the American, and RAF parts.

These files replace the original versions to allow more accurate skinning of the horizontal stabilizer and elevators.

This update contains a new default skin and UVW mapping bmp as a guide for skinners. This is designed to work with the remapped prop.

Navigate to your Arsenal_VG33/3do/plane/VG-33 folder and replace the following files

I, like adler908, am also having a 60% crash. I am using DBW 1.71 w/ buttons ver 10.3 4101 offline. I have deleted and reinstalled VG33 (3 times) and double and tripled checked air.ini
each time. I have the following log

Code: [Select]

Make sure your download is correct, not corrupted and it is complete;  unzip. rar with 7z. ; Rar unzip by WinRAR older vers., may be very wrong.
( free download: search 7zip internet; EZ ).

Be sure content of file Arsenal_VG33: 1 x 3do ; 8 x class-files  ( series of numbers ) ; one VG-33_FM ; one skin ; one readme.

Note this aircraft has it's own FM, so should not be using buttons as per log, and needs a DiffFM, which with DBW is included.
DiffFM is 294ABC86A89FAEB4 in XTD, or/and a more recent one in engine mod. ( 294ABC86A89FAEB4 --> 20/01/2013 eng2.6 ).

I have Vg-33 v1.2 updated in my 412; I had an older version in my DBW1.171; I just now replaced it with "updated", and have no prob.

Be sure you respect the path: #DBW  \  Arsenal_VG33 \ 3do ...
... should be same as ...         #DBW  \ Arsenal_VG33 \  VG-33_FM  as well.

Be sure to enter the complete line in air.ini:
VG33             air.VG_33 2          f01           Summer
all of it,  and only that. ( no more, no less ).

Beyond that, you have to make sure your game actually runs without the mod... ( ? )  :-X

This bird does not fly in my world. Deleted it, re-downloaded, unzipped w/ 7zip, checked files (all there), added to DBW, cut and pasted air.ini and plane_ru (double checked like I do for all plane mods), checked DiffFm in XTD (it's there). Still 60%. Game works fine when I  "//"  plane in air.ini.
Bugs me. Of all the downloaded planes I have done, this one I can't get to work.
