There is no need for introduction for the Potez25 - it is a symbol for a whole period of the history of aviation. An incredible number of variants were developped with various engines and other modifications. It was a test bed for a number of equipments that became standard thereafter. For instance the TOE version was one of the very first planes to be equipped with an OPL reflex visor and on the Salmson engined version this was already part of standard equipment. Although, on export versions the equipment could vary, suited to the technical requirements/conditions prevalent in the destination country. The TOE version was litterally a "bomb truck" , but all these palnes were designed to operate in areas were aerial enemy activity was almost not existant - their survival in air combat was....let's say "limited".
About 20 Potez 25 Salmson, and maybe some Lorraine engined Potez 25 were directly delivered from French stocks to the Spanish, serving mainly in Northern Spain, and some Potez 25 Jupiter were acquired from Estonia. All were already badly worn out. At least one Potez25TOE was brought by a French defector to the Nationalist rebels inTetuan and sported thereafter the Nationalist crosses and black disks.
Note:
The Type D Internal vertical bomb rack, with its characteristic protrusion under the fuselage, will not appear on the QMB selection screen, when the suitable armament is selected, but will appear on the model.
