Just tested the F9F-6, and boy is she maneuverable! Also accelerates very nicely. I may have found a new favorite to fly! Big thanks to all involved in this wonderful project :)

Glad that some of you got it to work.

Regarding Mediafire: It seems there is a regional problem with download links. There have been numerous times people have complained to me regarding corrupt links but ALMOST every time I checked (P-40s being the exception), the link has been fine my end. That is why I am now trying to post an additional link at a place link Mission4Today in an alternative format.

With 7zip archives, you can only use 7zip to open them properly (don't work properly with WinZip or WInRar, as codec are different). I prefer 7zip as it has an excellent compression codec and I've found it to be much more resilient to corruption than zip or rar files (probably owing to its lower file size).

Anyway I'll clean this thread up tonight and post the M4T link. As for the 'belt' bug, DBW1.71 has JetWar v1.2 but lacks the updated pilot models available in the stand-alone version. Hence it seems if you are running vanilla DBW1.71, you may be missing the 'belt' texture. To be safe, I might reupload the archive with that 'belt' texture included :)

Nice mod SAS~Anto thank you.I hate to say anything but I'm a little critical of Kazegami statement I think the FM's could use some tweaking on all of them, they all seem to be heavy on the stick in tight turns and all fall out of the sky at anything less than 300mph.Very hard to land unless you dive at the ground or deck. Also noticed the F9F-8T likes to open the canopy at any altitude or speed when in autopilot mod.

Aviator Mod Team,

Exceptional work! Thank you for the Cougar Pack.

Because the downloads I got from the Mediafire link were all corrupted, I had to download the Cougar Pack from Mission-4-Today. I did note that the Mediafire download included skins, where as the Mission-4-Today download did not. Can you make the skins available at Mission-4-Today?

Walter_Solito, thanks for the belt texture. Without it, I would still be waiting to fly this beauty.

Cheers,

Riptide

Thanks for your help Walter :)

I've cleaned out the thread and updated the download links, so both contain the missing texture AND the additional skins. Sorry about the little cockup, glad to see it is all smooth sailing now :)
