Hi, making153. I'm in Korea. No problems with down loading stuff through Firefox here. Do you use Firefox? I understsand it has some tools that can help you with the problem. Perhaps you could check it out. In respect to d/l sites, my pet hate is 4shared. Suffice it to say, I have my own pet name for it. The Czech, and Russian sites some d/l s are on are OK.

It's said to be corporate pressure put on some governments to block or harass certain sharing sites. Corporate interests often have a horror of free sharing (perish the thought they would not get a cut of the action) and try in any which way they can to get it banned or whatever they can get away with.

There is indeed a firefox add-on that is said to be able to help with this problem. There is a link on one of the other DreamK plane threads ... can't recall which one, but it was a recent one.

Hi, agracier. You are right. Hollywood had it's lawyers draft the SOPA act. It is stalled in the Republican controlled House of Representatives. [Republicans don't like it] That means it won't likely be passed by the Senate. Which means Obama won't be able to sign it. If the Republicans win the Whitehouse in November, SOPA is dead and gone. Hollywood is not their friend. They'll have a different agenda. Being nice to Hollywood probably won't form part of it.
