The distances mean how far you will see the 3D texturized objects, and then the tracers will change to simple lines. ;)

So I put this in my mods folder and it did change the look, but it does not look like the video.  The tracers are really thin on the .50 cals and not as bright.  I can not even see tracers on the 109's nose MG's.  Advice?

red3bravo, have you tried adjusting any of the settings for the mod, to get it more to what you want?
it is explained in the first thread how to do this.
you should always read through the entire first post before installing any mod, and then even through some of the posts to see if there are any similar issues being discussed, and possibly solved.
it sounds like you just clicked download, and installed it without doing any reading on the subject first. :D

Thanks, but I did.  Thing is I do not see any tracer settings like the ones listed in the beginning of the thread in my conf.ini file.  I am assuming I am looking at the right file, sense it is in the main 1946 folder so I am a little perplexed. The mod obviously changed the look of the rounds so it did install.  Any reason the tracer files are not showing in the .ini folder?

you actually need to add those lines into conf.ini, at the end, before you can start adjusting them.
you might need to create a new section at the end, if you don't already have one, with the heading -- [Mods]
so, it will look like this:

[Mods]
TracersPlayer=400
TracersAircrafts=300
TracersWorld=100
TracersWirbelwind=50

then, you can start adjusting the values until you are satisfied. :D

also, with effects mods, don't be scared to mix 'n match them, until you get something you are happy with.
thing is, effects mods are very much a personal taste thing, which is why a lot of guys use this mix 'n match option.
as long as you know how to rename mod folders so that they have priority in the loading sequence...
this is why many new mod folders start with a '0_Effects', or such. with the '0' in front, it will load before another mod which doesn't have the '0'

I will share it ASAP. :)

Thing is I do not see any tracer settings like the ones listed in the beginning of the thread in my conf.ini file.
It is because these settings were created by me for this mod, so, as Malone said, you need to add them to your conf.ini. ;)

Hello santobr,

I am having a little problem duplicating your tracers shown in the YouTube video.

To me they look like beautiful big orbs for my tired 72 years of age eyes.

I've adjusted my "TracersPlayers" up and down from 400 but all I get is the following:

I am using HSFX6 6.017 with expert mode, P-51D .50 cal, with Gurner's effect following your mod only.

Any idea of how I can get those "orbs" to show ?  What was your convergence in the screenshot ?

Sorry to bother you and thanks for the mod.

Hello Freelansir. :)

There are two things in that scene...
The FOV, I used the "Delete" key to simulate the guncam's lenses.
And the sun is behind the clouds changing the light and colors of everything.

Please, don't sorry, I'm glad to help. ;)
