Simpler selection of objects
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:13:02 AM »

Incidentally, I have found the little trick which , maybe, somebody not described yet.
In unlocked FMB, select one object in the menu, press Ctrl-LeftMouseButton,  press Enter, then, having the popup menu opened, just press PageDown or PageUp key: the object simply changes by repeatedly pressing that last key, showing objects appearance. Much more expedient than repating pointing in the (small) popup menu and pressing Ctrl-LeftMouseButton.

yes, that's an old trick i worked out by myself, but there might be someone who doesn't know it, so maybe a good idea just to mention it again. ;)
and, it works for normal FMB, as well, not just unlocked.

Home and End keys will also jump to the next file group of objects.  Very handy.  :)

Go for it.  You'll also notice that this won't deselect your currently elected object.  Very useful when swapping airfield plates for example.

Doesnt work for me.. :( the object just rotates. I guess it is because my pguP and down keys are located on the numPad...But even when I disable numpad.

Hi Milan,

1.) Set an "Object" on your map

2.) Klick this "Object" (Mouse left), it will "blinkin'".

3.) Now make your "Object" choise with Page UP/ Down... thats all!

NumPad keys are just for rotation of the object, how do you do it otherways ?
Even at HP notebook of my wife there are separate PgDown, PgUp, Home, End keys - just above the Numpad.

Yes, actually the PgUp, down etc.. keys are on the NumPad keys. Like this :

I tried different things, like alt, FN, shift, ctrl but it still only rotates, even when I disable the numPad.
