Wasn't this the first aircraft/seaplane to make a trans atlantic crossing?; although it did refuel from co-oridnated ships en-route IIRC.

Certainly a 'bella' to see, congrats Gio 8)

Hi, mojojojo. A few weeks ago, I told myself I'd only look for new planes, ships, and vehicles on Saturday. And restrict myself to looking at topics from my e.mail. That has long since gone by the board. There are too many mods coming out. If I did that, I'd spend too much time adding, and testing. Thus less time building missions. I hope a twin engined slot can be found for it. I won't start a flame war by suggesting which one it could take.

Thanks for the plane Gio. I've just finished the fifth mission of a Balaerics two seater campaign.  [I've just uploaded a bunch of SCW two seater missions to M4T]            There are more Balaerics campaigns to come. One more two seater Rep, and one each for fighters. Namely the NI52 Rep, and NI52/CR32quater Nat. Players will move from the Balaerics to other theatres.

When this flying boat has a slot, I'll use it. I'll probably be the first, unless Poltava has something up his sleeve.

cheers

Nope, The Spanish Plus Ultra, a Dornier Wal piloted by Ramón Franco, was the first one in january 1926.  ;)

A different question: I couldn't get it to work in DBW, when I remembered a trick Redfox said for the SM81, so I renamed SM55m folder to 00_SM55m, and had a look inside Plane folder, in 3DO. It wasn't named CANT_501, but MBR-2-AM-34multi, so I deducted this didn't replace the gabbiano but MBR-2.
Since the word multi is not in air.ini, I eliminated it leaving just MBR-2-AM-34, now it loads in QMB instead the MBR-2. ;D

Here she is, flying over Madeira:

For some unknown reason, in FMB it still loads as MBR-2, so I couldn't make a screenshot landing in the new port of Pollença.

Gorgeous. 8)  Thank you very much gio. :-*

Definately skinable. :)

Hello juanmalapuente, no problems for me with FMB. ;)

Pollenca harbour.

The stationary is also available providing you select None or Blue, otherwise the MBR appears.

Providing you set the MBR to Soviet in the FMB you will still get the MBR. ;)

Well I guess I've another template to make. :'(

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

You're right Pete. It does work in FMB, but for me was the opposite way: red army is SM-55 and blue army MBR-2  ???
Anyway, I tried her in Balearics map and looks great.
About the Nationalist skin, only one of the 3 planes used in SCW had it, the one that was damaged and remained for months in Pollença. The two others that participated in bombing raids were probably in Italian colours, but I don't know any pictures to demonstrate it. I have a couple of the Spanish one. I'll try to find them when I'm home.
Grrrreat!

Hello juanmalapuente, the skin was a quick test, merely a tga re-named to bmp with some insignia applied, just to test a skin would work before I make a template.  I haven't yet had the time to research the Spanish aircraft so I was just checking placement and mapping. ;)

Bye the way, return your MBR folder to Multi, that should make yours behave in the same way as mine I think.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
