Just got back into playing and its great, just one question:
I wonder if I have done something wrong with my install, as RAF fighters appear in flights of 4 in the BoF/BoB, where they should be in flights of 3.
RAF used the Vic formation well into the BoB and North Afrika didn't they?

Knowing your level of mod expertise I take it your comment is very much 'tongue in cheek'.  You provocative bugger, you'll scare all the noobs!

However, this is a very good point and an important detail CWMV!  I'm currently upgrading this campaign to an even higher level, with more mods, scenery and even more new Skins by Axis and Allies Paintworks.  Will take a close look at the RAF Vics too, as the Finger-Four formation, modelled on the Luftwaffe example, was not adopted until much later. Nice touch and very helpful to add more polish.

Have to admit, I'm loving this campaign. Although gurners effects slow things way down over Dunkirk!

They started to use the wingman system during end of BOB, learning the hard way at BOB. But the squadrons in medeterainian/ Africa I have no clue if they continued with vic a while after.

That's the way things are going for the Monty27 campaigns now.  Since I got an Intel2 Quadcore, with a modest 4GB RAM, and the best card for Il2, NVIDEA Geforce 9600, I just can't slow Il2 down whatever is going on.  In common with other Quadcore (and better) users we have tested full antialiasing, water, effects, objects, flights, maxxed and montied.

As a good friend of mine from Detroit often comments; "smooth as butter".  Everyone in our gang has to go at least quad now!

I reckon you're right there LeOne, and since Kieth Park visited Malta in January 1942, we may infer that the new doctrine was widely disseminated across the ETO from late '40 into '41 and the MTO from early '42 onwards.
