Monty,

I've re-downloaded the mission and skin packs and reinstalled them.  I originally downloaded Ace of Spades in November, and it appears from looking into some of the files nothing has changed.  While trying jg53-21, I notice that the mission briefing calls for flying the 109F4, but when going into the arming screen, the 109F4/Z appears and I cannot change the skin to the one recommended in the briefing since there are no skins available for the 109F4/Z.  Also, while in the middle of either jg53-18 or jg53-17, I had another strange problem.  My guns fired (sound and muzzle flash), but no tracers appeared at all and no bullets hit any of my targets (I had aircraft point blank less than 200m in front of me not moving and still nothing happened when I fired).  In the beginning of the mission, my guns did work (tracers appeared).  Does any of this indicate some deeper problem with my installation?

Original post deleted.  I am reinstalling TFM directly to the #DBW and game root directories without jsgme or total modder to see if that helps.
That didn't work so I went back to using Total Modder and followed the directions in post 172 of the Full Monty Thread:  https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,28809.msg308736.html#msg308736

I'm still getting what appears to be the wrong plane for the Malta missions (109F-4/Z).  Are the Malta missions supposed to utilize the 109-F4 instead of the F-4/Z?  For example, JG53_22.mis calls for "Class air.BF_109F4Z" for the player's flight [FAGr112] as well as the AI flight [g0111].

Copy the skins from 109F4 folder to 109F4/Z folder and you're fine.

I understand I can do that - I was just wondering whether that was intentional or not.

No it wasn't, been meaning to fix that and thanks for reminding me.  The F4Z's crept in there during an update experiment in parallel with TFM, and should of course really be F4's.

All of the JG53 mission downloads are now updated.  Since the Single and Campaign missions are the same, its easiest to just grab the Singles again and update all of your JG53 missions.  Or get the full Campaign set if that's the preferred way to work for some people.  Writing and uploading these sets can get pretty complicated at times so good feedback keeps me on my toes!  8)

Thanks for your time and effort Monty!  DBW, TFM, and these special edition mission packs have breathed new life into IL-2 1946 for me.

Hi all,
I have installed the Full Monty on DBW 1.71 and it worked like a dream until now.  :(
I was flying Monty's Ace of Spades campaign and had completed Mission 8 a sweep over the Dunkirk beaches, 17 kills and just promoted to Leutnant.

Problem: Starts to load mission 9 but stops at 85% Loading stationary objects and hangs, Alt Tab out of the game has a message
IL-2 6Dof/TIR Enabled Executable for modded IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 has stopped working.

Just wondering if anybody else has had/seen this and a possible fix?

I put this in the original "Full Monty" thread, all Monty packs are in the correct order etc.

Many thanks in advance

... very interesting bug, because I sometimes get it, although I don't use DBW, nor Monty's pack ...  :-[

No issues here, just flew mission JG53_09.  Done a lot of bug crunching over the months though, so make sure you have the latest version of those missions by downloading again if you haven't done so recently.

Confirmed for me, FPS considerably reduced using Gurner's Effects, from +70fps over Dunkirk to less than 20fps!  ie: from super-smooth to choppy. Nice as it looks that is one package that's a 'Bridge Too Far' for me at the moment!

Well here's one for you:  I see the same FPS drop that you all do when using Gurner's FX w/ DBW, but the frame rate drops before there is a single explosion or smoke column.  In addition, using Gurner's FX w/ UP3.0 I see no frame rate drop and can have tons of fires and silky smooth graphics.  It something about Gurner in combination with DBW.

One step forward one step back...
