For some reason I just struggle installing these mods.  When I download and extract the .RAR file I don't find any such BTM_Islands folder nor a BTM_PacificIslands folder.  All I get is an "Extracted Folder" that contains a lot of .tga files and a load.ini.

What am I missing?  Where are the BTM_Islands folder and the BTM_PacificIslands folder that the Readme talks about?  When I read the Readme I'm not sure what files to put in the _tex folder and which files to put in the Maps folder. 

Looks like a fantastic map.  I'm just not sure how to install it.  FYI, running 4.09 with Ultrapack 2.01.

Try downloading it again. You must be getting a corruption somehow. I just downloaded it and all is how it should be.

No joy with a new download.  Here's what I'm doing:

I'm downloading it from your link on the first page of this thread.

It downloads the .rar file and then to open it I use the NewzTools utility.  It asks which file I want to extract and I point to the downloaded "The BTM Pacific Islands Map.rar".  It then extracts all the files into an "Extracted_Files" folder.  However none of the files in that Extracted Folder include other folders like BTM_Islands or BTM_PacificIslands.

The only contents are .tga files, the load.ini and the Read Me.txt.

Hello c87, I've just downloaded and opened the download from the link you placed in your post above.



When you un-zip the download you should have a folder:

The BTM Pacific Islands Map.

This will usually be repeated again.

Inside that second folder you will see this:



They are the folders you should add into your maps folder in MapMods.

Did the same:
-Downloaded from your link (8.77 MB file)
-Extracted with 7-zip
-Same folders and structure as everybody else.
Try 7-zip, maybe your extractor is misbehaving.

Thanks so much for the hand-holding.  I used 7-zip and got the files I needed.  Must be something wrong with the other utility I used (or I just don't know how to use it correctly).
