How Do I Install Add-on Planes in 1946?
« on: August 24, 2012, 12:16:23 PM »

??? Hello, I have been flying all of the IL2 series since 2003 and I love the sims. I have flown IL2, FB w/AEP, PF, and 1946. The one thing I have never done is to install new downloaded flyable planes in these series. I have installed skins and missions, but never planes. I have just downloaded the cool P-82 Twin Mustang from the SAS 1946 website. I unzipped the zip file to receive the P-82 folder, but unlike the other downloaded files, there is no readme and so I am unsure on how to install it. I opened the main IL2-1946 root directory and unlike the other sims, there is no aircraft or objects folders to install the P-82. I have sucessfully installed add-on planes in other sims because they have either the aircraft or objects folders, but the IL2-1946 does not. Can any of you who are experienced in add-on planes please help me? Thank you very much. I love the P-82 and I am new to the SAS 1946 forums. Thanks again.

forget about the other MS flight sims. they are set up, so you CAN and are AUPPOSED to add stuff to it.
In Il2 you SHOULDNT. That is why you open the download and can not get any where further than "what? uh?"

However, it is possible.

Check this one out for starters
