PA_Jeronimo has posted a note awhile back saying he was probably going to do some work on the nose of
the Me-262, one of these days.
I am not sure how much of this rounding-up of the 3d-model will effect the rivets and details on the
final skins Phas3e. Take note that it might need some more painting once again on that area.

This aircraft could look much better with some minor plastic-surgery, just a little bit. We shall wait to see
what will be PA_Jeronimo´s decision on this matter. He has already done some amazing artsy work on
rounding up alot of aircraft parts in these past months, so he´s the right man for this job on the Me-262.

Thats the case when looking at any aircraft from that era Max not just the 262, rivets were always flushed. If I wanted to skin it like that I could go back to 512x512.

For those out there who cant seem to see the difference between 1024 and 2048 heres a small example

1024

2048

If you cant see how much better the results are of 2048 skinning then maybe you need to get your eyes checked.

A template at 1024 cannot simply be resized up to 2048 and then claimed it doesnt look that much different, it doesnt work like that, you need to redraw everything in the new much finer scale.

Also, the whole game will never been skinned in a larger scale its ridiculous to think that entire campaigns will ever made with only 2048 skins, IL2 is in its final years and there will never be as many large scale skins as the old kind. if anything I would olny use the pilots own plane in the new higher rez skins.

I also think that any skinner should leap at the chance to put the extra details into his favourite plane, its not just a case or 'reading stencils' its the love of the hobby and the want to get it right, not just hiding behind a lack to detail.

+1 ( I am not a skinner ,but a modeller and this is exactly what I feel when adding all those little extras in my tiny little 1/72 scale cockpits ! :) )
