dear all
a few pages back,  Bestekampfpilot 58 asked this:

...cannot save or fly any flights. I read this comment from boomers object pack,
"4. Copy the static file from UP\Std\ com\maddox\il2\objects and paste it into SAS\Std\com\maddox\il2\objects."
Well I do not see a UP\Std\static file on my pc. Yes I know, because I did not install
any version of UP on my new pc. WHERE would I find this UP static file? That is the only
piece that I'm missing to start to enjoy those fantastic maps! ...

-but no one seems to have answered him!!
I have exactly the same problem with installing boomer's object pack.  Any advice?

Hi Finn

here is the static.ini for UP3 RC4 ,it matches exactly what is inside the SFS File object pack I put together

UPDATE 08-07-2013 -v.2.20 !

Quote
What's NEW v. 2.20 ?
This new update mainly includes bug fixes.

1- ALL MAPS:
Tex files: .tree.tga have been updated so that console message  "WARNING: count=xxx" with forest=3 ([OpenGL] section in conf.ini) now no longer appear.
Take-off points slighly moved on some small airfields in order to avoid "off-limit" spawnings (cooperative missions) that could prevent AI planes to take off.
Missing "runaway" points added on Köln-Ostheim airfield.

2-WestFront40 :
-Some rail/road broken have been fixed (Gladbeck-HertogenBosch-Bruxelles).
-Soft hills added on west side of Arnhem town.
-A few trees & houses on sea (east coast of England) have been deleted.

3-WestFront44 :
-Hilversum airfield (north-west of Soesterberg) was activated.
-Eben-Emael area (south of Maastrich) becomes similar to other maps.
-Some rail/road broken have been fixed (Gladbeck-HertogenBosch).

4-WestFront Generics :
-Hilversum airfield (north-west of Soesterberg) was activated.
-Some rail/road broken have been fixed (Gladbeck-HertogenBosch).

Fantastic work GilB!!

Thanks for putting that extra effort in.

I consider these maps to be the best without question and should be considered the benchmark on all aspects of map creation. Airfields, Road and rail networks, textures and getting a balance on object count vs playability, the look and feel of the towns and cities. The maps work well and look beautiful on every level.

If you do map work or want to, this map set is what you need to refer to for quality and attention to detail. This is how all maps should be done.

Thanks!

Thx !  ;D ... I just have to add that I consider it as a collective work, first author being Asheshouse, and with a big help from Canon-UK and C6-Tompcat, also including a lot of other people (see readme for more)

Unfortunately, I didn't had enough time to move/delete trees that may damage AI planes on taxying on some airfields ... well, nothing is perfect I suppose ?  ;)
