Reggiane Re-2001 (old version)
« on: September 12, 2012, 11:33:15 AM »

.

Made by Ectoflyer & Spitwulf
Now available at Beo's site ;D

The Reggiane Re.2001 was an Italian fighter designed to overcome the weaknesses of the Re.2000. Intended to be an interceptor, the Re.2001 proved to be flexible and became also a fighter-bomber and night fighter. The Reggiane Re.2001’s maneuverability allowed it to dogfight with more powerful opponents, as the Supermarine Spitfire, at lower and medium altitudes.

UPDATE 02 -19 Sept 2012
engine damage now fixed
version 3 available

Hi Ectoflyer and Spitwulf,

(Posted this at the freeil2modding site as well)

First of all thank you for a very nice mod for this useful plane.

I have encountered a problem however, and would like to see whether others have seen this too: the actual firing trajectory of the 12.7mm machine guns on the fuselage sometimes shifts vertically, at times significantly away from the aim point through the gun sight. As far as I can tell the wing guns are not affected.

(DBW1.71 install)

Thanks again,  this is a beautiful plane.

Cheers,

Yes seems Freemodding is momentarily down, probably it's a problem of server maintenance.

ton.

P.S. It's already fine. ;)

Hello. Great work! One of missing planes.  :) , but I have question. Your Re.2001 has bigger/longer frontal shield of window or I am wrong?
Have a look on this: (different frontal part of canopy)

Regards. :)
