I love this plane, it's one of my favorite jets in the game!

Two engined jet fighters/heavy fighters are my fav, and this one isn't an exception!

Thanks for giving us such a great airplane :D

Here's inof on it. Interesting is that it could have been armed with rockets for anti-ship duty which could have brought the plane out quicker.

One benefit of the He 280 which impressed the political leadership was the fact that the jet engines could burn kerosene, which requires much less expense and refining than the high-octane fuel used by piston-engine aircraft. The He 280 might have been more easily "sold" if Heinkel stressed the possibility of using it as an attack aircraft for anti-shipping. While the R4M rockets were not available until 1944, the Germans did develop the Nebelwerfer in 1941, which was a 150 mm (5.9 in) artillery rocket launcher. These tubes could have been mounted underneath the wings of a jet. German pilots complained that bombs dropped by the Me 262 had little chance of hitting their targets. A forward-firing recoilless weapon would have been much more effective.

Thanks, mac1. It flies just fine. No engine fires when you throttle up and down. I'd like to do a single mission for it at some stage. No promises though.

cheers

I'd like that very much David! It's amazing when you spend so much time working on something how little time you spend actually enjoying ti

Yes, mac1. I know exactly how that feels. I'm playing Flyboys, and a 110 campaign set on the Eastern front. I'm also  planning on re-releasing a couple of old 410 campaigns in DBW 410. That will free some storage space on Mediafire. Then, there's various other campaigns to do. The recent release of the Meteor has given me some ideas for a campaign that is about 1/3 complete. It'll start with the player learning to fly the Bulldog, Hind,  and PWS 24 [Avro tutor] in Cal Zimbotho, go to the East Africa campaign with Fairey battles. Then to Italy flying Hurricane IVs. Next England flying Meteors, and Finallly Korea in Meteors. As for a completion date. Let's say Christmas. I'm not sure which one though.

cheers

Hi ModAct
thanks for a wonderful & historically significant aircraft !
bug report:
I am operating ver4.101, Modact 3.06, and I have a strange bug with the undercarriage.
I have no main wheels - but in their place I see copies of the nosewheel !
