Hello everybody, i’m trying  to update my IL2_1946  sim installing UP3 and DBW (which  is my final goal) but till now unsuccessfully. Cause I saved different working IL2_1946’s versions on my external HD. I have done the following :
1)   On 4.10.1m version +  SAS  ModAct 3.06 (correctly working)  I installed   UP3 .0 RC4. Result = not work.
2)   Next  I tried installing UP3 .0 RC4 on a clean  4.10.1m working version. Same KO result.
3)   Finally  I downloaded  the Stock 4.07m to DBW 1.71 SuperPack One-Stop Download & Install (the famous SAS F'nBigSuperPack !)  and installed it on a clean and working  4,07m version, but nothing has changed.
The problem is always the same :  when I run il2.exe  with IL2-Selector or in a stand alone manner, the program stay active for some seconds, I can see it in  TaskManager using some CPU and then shut down abruptly  without showing the first screen (that where you can see program’s version  and  load percentage increasing).   In every  attempt I made,  the initlog.lst  file stops  always at the same point :

For more information I say the setup is the same I use with other working versions  of the game and that when  I tried  (# 3) UP3 and DBW together  I correctly deactivated UP3 and activated DBW in JSGME.
At this point I need help.  There is anybody who already encountered the same problem? Can anybody tell me what the program should  do after  the log file stops ?

Hi trader,

do you have in your IL-2 maingamefolder\ "jsgmemods"... a folder named "#DBW"?

If not, create a new folder, rename this folder to "#DBW".

Now activate this (empty) #DBW folder...

Thank you Gerhard for your reply.
Since I had not the folder you said I created 'D:\IL2_1946\jsgmemods\#DBW'  empty and I activated only this in JSGME before running the game.
Unfortunately nothing has changed. 
I see that Java Virtual Machine is involved in the process (JVM Parameters referred in the log file). Is not possible that the JVM version on my PC is not good for that game's version ?

look the 2nd line of your logfile...

If you want to fly DBW:

"#DBW" must be activated per JSGME.exe! (Do not activate anything from #UP#...!)

Per "IL-2 Selector.exe" you have to activate #DBW.

Start the game and you will see...

I did exactly as you suggested but nothing change.
