That Autopop template looks perfect. It looks very much like a Berlin from the 1930s/40s era.
A few more of these and you will have the entire city finished in a blink of an eye. Looks
most excellent. Congrats!
Question for CanonUK,
Will you perhaps add parts of the city (or cities) with lots of craters and destroyed housing rubble?
As usually shown in photographs.
In my opinion I believe that at least 25% to 35% of a city should be destroyed, or look like lots of
bricks rubble (or destroyed houses objects) because of the Allied bombing that first started way
back in 1940 with the RAF flying over Germany... then came the Americans and more cities got
destoyed. So this map, could be great for any time period of the WW2.
If no cities are destroyed
then it will seem like its always 1938 or 1939.
If you would like , I can always paint for you a nice large-sized skin texture, with lots of bomb
craters and destroyed buildings and rubble so you could cut up and use on your maps for some of
the city areas, and/or near railroad stations and/or industrial facilities.
I did something of the sort with lots of craters and zig-zag trenches for UP~Boomer to use on
his WW1 Somme Map. It is already available in the DBW-1916 game version and it is Superb!
UP~Boomer cut it out very nicely and placed it in his WW1 map in such a great way, that we now
have one of the most realistic looking WW1 ground textures map of any game, and I really mean that
in all honesty. He did a really excellent job with it.
When you fly over the WW1-Somme Map, it defenitly looks like a no-man´s land area.
Perhaps I can help and do something of the same to help you, but only by painting bomb craters and buildings destroyed on a skin for you to use. At this moment I really have no time (or such great knowledge as you) to create such amazing maps. I have about 19 new mod-airplanes that need skin-templates and new skins to be done by the end of January.
