Navy blue Ryan FR Fireball skin for LaGG-7R
« on: November 17, 2012, 05:46:53 PM »

My first attempt at a skin, a basic "Ryan Fireball" skin for the hybrid propulsion LaGG-7 to turn it into the Ryan Fireball, a late/post war american carrier fighter with a mixed jet and piston engine powerplant:

Not the best skin in the world, but I think it's a start, and an interesting idea. The one I really want to have a crack at is the I-250 but i've fouled the void skin by mistake, so if anyone could upload a copy i'd be most grateful.

Don't know what's up with the screenshot, will try and get a better one in the monring.

What you want to do is find a way to make the white transparent on the void, and add your paint and markings on separate layers. That way you avoid splashing paint on the panel lines, cockpit etc. : ) One way is to use the background eraser tool. (provided that you use photoshop). It's a start!

And the actual USN markings/insignia would be nice to. An interesting idea, but it really needs the USN scheme. I wish i had the talent for doing skins, but im limited to being an FMB guy. Thanx for all the effort U put in this.
