First, I must say, barnesy, thank you for your Darkglasses effect. I love how your brain works in a very innovative way:

So, again, thank you for this Darkglasses effect. It’s very cool as it is, but I tried to make something else from it. And I really hope that you wouldn't mind.
Actually I think that you are the one who can develop this further, if you make this for every plane (PLEEEEEASEEEE!
)
I modified it a bit and made something like graphic filter. It is really improvising, but the end result is not bad.
As far as I understand, Barnesy made a little box in front of the pilot/camera of P51. This acts as a screen, and then he tinted it. I thought if it is like screen then it can also be like filter. So I changed values in mat file and changed texture (its white now, was black I think).
Now from the cockpit view you see "the world" through that fake filter. Colors are little bit livelier but the light is more intense. It is visible mostly on the clouds and on the sky. Depends of the time of the day (didn't try it at night yet), angle of the light/Sun coming in to the cockpit, type of clouds, view angle to the ground. Sometimes the light is too saturated so the clouds are too white (sometimes they actually resemble on ROF clouds), all depends, it is very dynamic.
It is really far from perfect, but looks to me like good effect. It is editable, though very limited. You can set more light, change colors (not bad, we can have the tehnicolor or sepia effect). Even some "scratches" could be added to the texture to made it looks like the "old film".
I assume that it can be added to all cameras in the game, so that would be visible everywhere, not just from the in-cockpit view, but I’m no expert for that 3D stuff.

This is how the tinting works. Done very fast
