An exceptionally useful map ... I've saved it for possible future maps ... many thanks for the link.

Here are a few screenshots - made with poor weather conditions in the afternoon. There's a different cloud texture in this map, that produces lighter and less densely packed clouds, so the effects of poorer weather conditions may not be as pronounced as with other cloud textures.

In any case, in these weather settings, the cliffs merge nicely with surrounding textures.

I find hazy in general good in modded IL-2 ..recently watched a documentation about India and was surprised that the sky, albeit cloudfree, looked white on some angles taken at different places, as if there was a humid fog present all the time. I assume it is more the type of sky of industrialized regions.
Not what I would have imagined at all.

I wouldn't say that the sky is industrialized, so much as being like a steam bath ... it's humid and hazy. I see the same thing here up north in Belgium when on those rare occasions it gets up to 30 degrees. Then the haze is very pronounced.

Btw - now that you mention haze and steam, I have an update for this map almost ready, a second companion map actually, that tries to simulate the area under the yearly inundation. It will be something like a huge marshland ... it has an interesting look and should be something different.
