Thank you. I'm not sure about the new texture as its not as clear when close to the ground even with a ,2 on it. It amazed me as well as much as the land mass of Sand island changed over the years. Look at my WWII pictures and then google earth. They kept filling in areas to add land.

Yes, but also vegetation dramtically differs from 1941 to 1943 to the 60s and 90s.
A present day map would require more forest, new land and a new airbase.
IMHO this is best suited for what it is aimed at: WWII/late war. BTW one of the most dramatic and lethal periods if the Pacific war as for Naval operations.
We need a good mission builder. :)

Hey Bombs great work. Thanks for doing this map. My squad wanted me to do this next after OKI. This will save me the time and we can use yours. Go Texas.

Hey Bombs the textures look great. I like the packed sand look close to shores. Thumbs up Bud.

Thank you. Would you like to test it for me? I would like your opinion.

Wow Bombs; this looks VERY good!! Will these textures fit the default Midway map as well?
The gap between this and the old map is just too big to ignore!   :P

Of course I mean you. :) I have to go to work in a few but I'll pack it up and send you a link tonight when I get home. I am hoping that it will help you with your work. Maybe give you some ideas. I look forward to the map you have been working on as well.
