Here's a small fantasy map showing a collection of islands somewhere in the vast immeasurable emptiness of the Pacific. It's a for fun map, not based on any particular area or campaign, though the islands themselves are all from somewhere in the Pacific.

And as an extra - here is a collection of several Pacific themed startup screens. The tga files go in #DBW//STD/gui/ ... you can either rename the one you might wish to use to 'background.tga', or more easily edit the 'background0_ru.mat' file by opening op with a text editor and editing in the name of the file you wish to use.

2048 Texture Version

New addition. The following link contains files for a 2048 textured version of the map. All 2048 textures have been remade from scratch. They are not just 1024 textures enlarged. They are all new textures and include BumpH files as well. The 2048 version will not overwrite anything of the normal version, it does naturally need new textures and a new load.ini, but these can be installed without overwriting anything. You will however, need the original 1024 version of this map for the 2048 version to work. The 2048 version is not a standalone.

Yup, my fault. There is a missing texture. My fault for doing this at 2 a.m. Next time I'll wait till morning.

oh dear.....a strange problem for me, folks...
i have installed, in the regular way, textures in tex folder, map folder and all.ini entry, all present and correct.
yet the map does not even appear on my map list......?   ???
i haven't experienced this in a while, anybody who can help out?

ah hell, i have tried adding a few other maps, with the same problem...
none appear in the map list...
edit: nevermind....rookie mistake....had a separate all.ini for testing, which i forgot to disable, so it was over-riding the regular one....
ok, sorry agracier, the problem is obviously not with your map, but user error on my behalf

And this is a very nice map ! But IS do apparently do not like some of the bases... had some crashes...
