What is the QMBPro folder name?

There are no QMP missions - yet. I have to admit that i don't know much about making QMP missions ... maybe someone will make some ...

As for the folder name should there ever be any, I think you need to take the name of the map folder itself. But I'm not really certain.

have you checked about the 2048 tree textures? The default trees in the main download are 2048pixels. You need carmaster's mod installed for them to work.

If you don't have that mod, you can also use the 1048 tree textures provided in the first post.

That might be the reason why the map won't load. Give it a try. Download the 1024 tree textures and install those in ..._Tex/Trees/....

to configure it so the map will load --

It's not the water mod. But seems to be called 'Light in the Il-2'. I think it's mainly referred to as the 2048 texture mod as well.

In any case, here you go:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,14789.336.html

There is a link to a working 2048 texture mod in the first post by carmaster on this page. It is the version that works for me. Also take care to check your conf.ini settings as well.

Now, I'm not 100% certain this mod will work in UP3.0, but give it a try. And be certain to backup ANYTHING at all that you need to overwrite with this mod.

And just to spare you some work, I would still first try the map by using the 1024 tree textures, or even by using the original 512 sized tree textures.

agracier, i tested it now, and i've got a real heavy fps hit with any kind of land/sea/horizontal type view, especially near the base at the southern end...
with only sea or sky in the camera, i have a solid 60-70 fps.
when i pan around to passing land, it drops into barely playable single digits.
i will experiment more, as i have also been making some changes to my conf settings, which might have influenced it....but i haven't seen such a drastic drop in a long time, and then only over densely populated areas...
will test more, meanwhile ;)

Do you have The Full Monty installed?  I used to get that big fps hit everytime I panned the camera view to where I was looking at the horizon, as long as I looked straight down below or above the horizon I got 60fps.  As soon as I panned down to the horizon my fps dropped to below half and sometimes lower.

I - dashed TFM and put the vanilla #DBW back in and it's 60fps on all maps in any view, so I started making my own TFM..... Totally Freakin Mike's mod pack, you should try the vanilla #DBW, you can take yer mapmods folder and drop it straight in.. no muss no fuss and check your frame rates sans TFM.

Oh, and I went in and deactivated the 24 bit skins and the core.dll's for 2048 mod in original TFM, I don't see any difference between the two and it's still just as good.  I made my own jsgme version of the 24bit 2048 mod if I get a hankering to look at something, but 99.9 percent of the time I leave it off in the new Totally Freakin Mike's pack

Cheers Duder

I'm not sure how to use the 1024 tree textures or the original 512 -
I have never had to make changes in these types of texture settings so I have not idea how to do it -
I hope you make an UP3 version of this map -

What exactly am I supposed to expect from the carsmaster light in IL mod anyway ?

What exactly am I supposed to expect from the carsmaster light in IL mod anyway ?

It allows you to use hi detailed textures in 2048x2048 pixel size, as well as hi detailed aircraft skins in the same size. Normally textures and skins are limited to 1024x1024 pixels. With the mod, you can get much more detail.

It also changes the light and tone of the color range of the game, but that is a subtle and not often directly discernible effect. For myself, I've also had the impression that it allows the game to work more smoothly. That's a subjective impression though, as I've not measured any of this via frs.

It's best to read through some of the posts on the thread itself so that you can properly install the mod should you wish to install it. I'm not that qualified to explain how to install, as it took me several attempts and versions before getting it finally right ... I wouldn't wish to give any incorrect advice.

PS: For the Quick Mission name in DBW, that is:

ag_Isles

I made some basic ones with Uufflakke's little templates, only I had an issue also seen e.g. when I made a Quick set for Bombsawas BTM Pacific Islands.. my flights do not show up on the map but outside, so I cannot edit it.  :D
Someone else will do it maybe some time.

no Hoss, not in this current install.
i've also just noticed that all my trees, on all maps, are now a kind of blocky square type shape, so it's either something to do with the textures, or such.
prior to this, i had installed carsmasters light mod (the Lite version) and i had beautiful high-res trees everywhere.
now all i see are these blocky things.
i have to head off to sea rescue duty now, but will investigate further when i get back to my PC  :D
