The thread's info about the usage of high res mod ingredients is a bit confusing aka incorrect IMHO:
IIRC (been a while) you need both, the basic mod via JSGME
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,33239.0.html
and the Lights mod by carsmaster:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,14789.336.html

#338 for the light version compatible with systems which otherwise will not support the high res tex and trees and skins.

Chrs

PS:
As for the Mustang pilot helmet asked a view posts above, that IIRC was from a HistoMod skin/pilots pack.

and again Thanks ag

This 2048 awesomeness is now loading easily thanks to load.ini editing.

(using an HD sas mod act 4.10 version with light version of light in the il-2 mod)

Cheers Kirby

Tom, see post #1 of the carsmaster thread, a few weeks ago I rewrote this first post
together with Carsmaster to have all links available at a glance. And I will talk
with Storebro to make a link to carsmasters mod in his first post ...  :)

Does anyone know if it is the lack of the cloud noise texture that causes this and if so - where I can get it ?

You can also try editing the load.ini file. Edit it to the following:

[APPENDIX]
  .........
HighCloudsNoise  = CloudsNoise.tga

This should be a default file, skulking somewhere in an sfs file ...

Unless the 'GW_CloudsNoise01.tga' file is in a higher resolution, which I doubt it is, this kind of file won't make much difference how clouds look.

Hello Mr agracier I appreciate so much your last job. I tried the map with HFSX is nancy but does not save missions. Ok it's for version 4.10 DBW but I wanted to point out that it could be enjoyable even in 4.11.1 HSFX. I hope you do not mind but I wanted to make an attempt to test. Until next time  ;)

What you probably need to do is install Boomer's objects pack ... that is a compilation of all objects used in UP3 and DBW. I'm short on time now, but there are links to this pack here on SAS, and probably also on this thread as well ...
