Mi-24V
« on: February 25, 2013, 03:36:23 PM »

I'm not sure if there's a template available for the recently released Mi-24, I doubt it but someday, if anyone's interested of course, make this flying crocodile come to life  :P

With these set of eyes:

Cheers~!

Very nice ! But I have seen that the 3d model is different from v1 to v2, and so do the default skins. So it is maybe early to do skins...

I asked for if there would be a template in the mod's thread, but don't know yet. Wait and see?

If you need a new skin-template for this one you will have to make one from scratch.
There is no template for it available (yet). I still have not started on painting one yet. So the doors are
open to all artists to start making one for making more skins.

That is good, but where can I get (decent) information about the mapping?

I'm using the .tgb as a reference personally, but it will take some time

Exactly  ;) the best way to do it is look at the default skin file.
Then place a special grid line over it and start selecting parts to see what fits into where more perfectly and from there on you
can make better lines and diferent textures/paints for every part.
Very easy to do... 2 weeks for sure!  :D
