You know, there are a lot of pretty jets in this thread, but after doing research on the 262 I found out that a squadron of Russians actually flew the 262 IN COMBAT against the Soviets.

Really? That is interesting. I once had a read on some US bomber crew who landed on German territory during WWII and flew against the Americans with the Germans at will.... I think that was a nightmare though!  :)

Well, There is a story of a Spitfire pilot during the BoB that defected and fought on the side of Germany.

Yeah like US FW-190's and other captured/defected aircraft. Also heard about a Tu-95 that defected to Canada during the Cold War.

Good old machines, still in service... but one would like to see them fly more often actually... it's a shame. Awesome looking tho!, it's been a while since i saw one of them flying over Buenos Aires :(

Oh cool, Argie AF A-4Rs (or ARs?), former USMC A-4Ms with radar in the nose. Very nice replacements for the old A-4B/C.  Don't see many shots of those modernized machines. Love the Skyhawk. At least I think those are the Arg. AF versions, unless somebody else bought some to.

Well duh, I mean you did say where you saw them at ..........I gotta start reading more carefully.

A-4AR yes :), about 33-36 in service, half of them in reserve the rest in flying condition.
