Forum name / avatar meaning
« on: April 24, 2013, 08:09:06 AM »

Ok you lot!
I am gonna ask the question because there are some `interesting' forum names and avatars out there, so what is the meaning of yours???
I will start, XJRTAZ, breaks down into two things, XJR is the motorbike I ride, the XJR1300 by Yamaha, and TAZ was my doorman nickname. My avatar is my fathers personal emblem that was on the cowling of his P-47 and also on his flying jacket.
so lets hear em guys!! ;D :o :-\

Ghost129er
originated from Mobius129er
Which originated from Mobius 1 in a game
Which originated from the word, cat. (Lol this line is just for kicks)

Ghost came from all the people in school calling me a Ghost because I gave people a cold, creepy feeling, and because he is my favorite character in Modern Warfare 2. That's also my callsign in the airsoft club.

Meh to be honest, it kinda developed a lot, and the WHOLE story is too long. I've had too many nicks!

But whenever they talked about him, they always had a slight smile on their faces.. And that, perhaps, maybe your answer.

Mine is from the Navy Squadron VF-111 Sundowners (they flew F-8, F-4 and F-14s)

They are my second favorite squadron next to the Jolly Rogers

My avatar is a picture that I put together from various elements in photo shop for a WW2 Miniatures game I am designing

brav6 is my hyperlobby name. Originally I was going to put 'Bravo-Two Zero' from an SAS unit during the Gulf War but meh.

"Hasta la.....todo es todo. Fuerza Aerea Española."

"Even the.....everything is everything. Spanish Air Force"

I'm Spanish so...there's some logic to it  :P

Well, really it says "Hasta la -cola- [drawing] todo es toro", "to the -tail- all of it is a bull"  ;), a Spanish say meaning a danger is not ended until it completely pass.

Again (this is a periodically dejavú :) ) my nick came from an unknown Man-O-War P-51 (not Kinnard) photograph when another nick I wanted for HL was taken. After that when everybody knows me with it I didn't change. And yes I like heavy but not my intention at all.

My avatar is Alas Rotas Aerobatic Team patch I designed with another mate AR logo. We performed aerobatics for 5 years, you can find vids on youtube, but we're disbanded now as regular team although we're in contact. Two weeks ago in fact another mate and I performed real aerobatics.

Me suffering severe torture (left), Tuckie (you know his vids, right).

Plain simple "Storebror" = "Big Brother" in danish.
My avatar is the incredible Jack Nicholson. Not that I'd look any similar; My friends would deny this if I had any :P

Best regards - Mike

I always wondered if that nic is from one of the main character in Sven Hazel´s books.
My current nick is after a BF-110 pilot that was shot down close to Narvik, Hans Jaeger . He was captured during the siege of Narvik in April 1940 and survived the war
