Phantom skin with high resolution textures fully reworked in Gimp 2.8, mainly at 2048px. A ficticious model created to enhance my carrier, USS Oriskany. Only tested in DBW 1.71 on Vista 32 SP2, but it should also work in 4.11 and UP RC 3.0.

To install, unzip the 'F-4E_Oriskany.zip' file to temporary location. Copy and paste the 'F-4E_Oriskany.bmp' file to your IL2\PaintSchemes\Skins\F-4E folder. You need to install the amazing High Resolution / True Color Textures Mod package.

A contribution from me to all you programmers, modders, modellers and artists who have made IL-2 such an enduring and exciting game.

I like the USS Oriskany very much and this new skin is very cool too.

I dont care if the US Navy never flew these airplanes, in my IL2 world any airplane flies.
The US NAVY is just jealous because they never had our good looking airplanes in their
combat simulation games.    Too bad for them, we have IL2+mods and total control of the skies!

@ Ranwers - I've checked the starboard side and it says 'Navy' there too! I think we'll leave it as it is - and add to the inaccuracies by using a modernised Essex carrier. (... and thanks for all you have done for IL2).

One of the best HD skins that I saw so far. I don't care if it is F-4E or not, because I can use it on any other F-4. Details and style are amazing. Thank you!
