Revisited nweurope map
« on: April 28, 2013, 07:52:56 AM »

Hi all,

here's a map I started from nweurope stock map (retextured, retowned, new map_T, tuned map_C, etc.).It's a map I made for myself to play short and low altitude missions.
I added some new places (towns, factories, airfields) and departed some airfields from the edge of the map closer to the middle to avoid seeing awful map borders on take off/landing/airfield-attack actions (so it will certainly not be compatible with all missions from stock map).
I tried to make cities and villages to have realistic appearance from low to medium altitudes, and gave details to some small areas all around the map like castles, factories, etc. I used a minimum different objects to keep the map playable over dense areas with a lot of aircrafts/vehicules in game.
It's a basic map, far from perfect but IMHO fun to fly.

I still have some work and tests to make it correct for download, but I'm busy too with RL, so don't expect the map before two weeks, for sure  ;)

Here are some screenshots, please tell me what you think.
More screens for airfields soon ...

This looks very nice. I sense it will get a lot of hard use when you release it!
Good Luck.

Looks fantastic!

The "Stormclouds" campaigns will be a blast on this!

Are those your own ground textures? Those are some of the best I have ever seen. Eagerly awaiting this one!
