Why does this remind me of that movie of a familiar looking drone that went rouge and then became good in the end? Ps. It had like a computer ball thingy that controlled it.

But whenever they talked about him, they always had a slight smile on their faces.. And that, perhaps, maybe your answer.

At the same time germany looses millions of euro for an abandoned drone project:

What made me laugh was the aircraft handler going through the motions to bring it onto the cat.... as if there was a pilot inside .... the "pilots" were the two guys with a "playstation" strapped to their arms ........ standing behind him .....  :D  :D  :D  :D

Obviously the finer points of "drone" deck handling still needs to be refined  :P

That made my day! A real life video game.  ;)    I watched a documentary criticizing drone pilots and how they could drive to work, kill some people halfway across the world and come back for dinner.

That X-47 looks straight out of Sci-fi!  :o

You are seeing the beginning of the end for human piloted aircraft. With 4th and 5th generation aircraft being limited in their performance by their human pilots, it's a foregone conclusion that remotely piloted or totally computer piloted drone type fighters will be the future. Kind of sad really.
