Kwajalein US Occupied 1944.

This a retexture of the Kwajalein map for DBW. This retexture is based on pictures I found from 1944 when the US took over Kwajalein island.

I added seaplane bases and runways,reworked map_c to make the map look closer to real life but nothing is perfect. :) I added some new textures. I did not make these textures and claim no credit for them at all.


Credit goes to the original maker of the map and to the makers/editors of the textures I used. If anyone knows thier names please let me know so I can give proper credit.

I found a pic of the island not long after it was taken over by the US in 1944.



So here is what I made....













Install: Place the BA_Kwajalein1944 folder in your _tex folder

Place the Kwajalein1944 folder in your maps folder.

Add the all.ini listing to your all.ini

I only run DBW so If you are running a different install I wont be able to help but I'm sure someone on the SAS will.

Bombs, I installed your masterpiece in my SAS ModAct4 (4.11.1) setup andf I get the "section missing [MAP2D]" message. Now, I used to know what that means but it's been ages now so any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks again,
EDIT: I checked with my all.ini file and these are the lines, I believe correct: Kwajalein1944 Kwajalein1944/load.ini

I'm sorry. I dont run 4.11.1 and I cant remember the map2d error either but I'm sure someone will pop in and help. :)

You do have the folders in their correct place right? BA_Kwajalein1944 in the _tex and the Kwajalein1944 in the mpas folder?

Pm Bravo. He is running 4.11.1 so he may know if there is a certain way to load maps in that version. I'm sorry I couldnt help.
