The russians not implemented Radar Ranging Gunsight in second generation of Mig-21?

Why use Radar Ranging Gunsight when you don't even have guns? The gun pod on PFM are there mostly for ground attack. Also it's unreasonable to use such system on a really really small sight reflector glass. And yes, historically PF, PFM, FL doesn't have radar ranging gunsight.

I use Gunpod in dogfights  :D
because of poor performance of R-3A against enemy fighters

The small correction reducing the size of the drogue parachute. Now the opened drogue parachute is not dragged by the ground. It was tested for versions 4.11.1. Archive contents to unpack in a folder "mods". With replacement to agree. Sorry my English, translated by PROMT

Can someone add this to the first post, so it doesn't get lost?

This mod keeps amazing me. I menaged to break my afterburner yesterday by rapid throttle movement. I got a compressor stall, but it still worked. Than I wiggled the throttle switching between wet and dry rapidly a bit more and it didn't want to ignite anymore. Just afterburner, Engine was operable all the way to 100% military power, just didn't want to go wet, apparently I broke injectors by rapidly turning them on and off. This mod is incredibly detailed.

Now, if some pro could make a video tutorial on how to land her from cockpit, I (and probably not only I) would be grateful.

utube is your friend :)

here is a good one, but it is quite experienced one. NOTE: the video is made from the second cockpit of MiG-21UM through the special mirror visor. But on final you can clearly see that you need to look at the side before touchdown.

And here is another one, but it is from Lock On mod, anyway it can be quite useful for you. NOTE: MiG-21bis has more powerful engine, but it is also a bit heavier, so take it into account.

I'd be happy to make such a tutorial as soon as I learn to land it without exploding into a million pieces 99.9% of the time.

I nearly (nearly :D :D :D ) made it yesterday. You have to be 100 percent concentrated and slow down in the right moment... it will work.

After tens of landing attempts I finally landed (Slovakia 1955 map). Three times till now. Once on runway even (!).

Some more practice will be needed to manage this:

Jesus Christ... one hopes they payed their life insurance cheque.
Looking at the flag you see that they even had crosswinds on some of the landings. Small single sided strip and the MiGs jumping left and right after touchdown - virtually insane.
In the days of the cold war we've had highway strips in germany as well, however these were sections with 3 lanes each side and the guard rail could be removed so in the end you've had several kilometers of 6+guard strip lanes, big enough to even land 4 engine transports on it (see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highway_strip).
Not comparable to this polish stuntmen at all.

Best regards - Mike
