Scary. Bet they didn't have much partying in the mess that evening ::(  ;D

German pilot arrested by US ground forces?
Yep. 8th May 1945 tough day for the Luftwaffe  ;D
Cool picture eMeL :)
Thx much appreciated. I noticed I couldn't get screenshots with proper anti alias effects. These are slightly jagged but the next ones will be normal standard.

Cool Emel,

That was one of the kites found in my resident City.

At the Halle-Nietleben Strip.
A 2nd Strip was the Siebel Factory Airfield,
not to be confused with.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flugplatz_Halle-Nietleben

Some D-9 from JG6, at least 3 if I remember.
Although some scrapped nightfighters, a Uhu and some Ju88.

In April 1945 at the Siebel factory the US found Ta152C in it's last production
stages. At least 2 in complete condition. They were going to be license built there,
next to a factory in Leipzig/Mockau.
But that factory hosted a site of wrecks and dump, as it was
severly hit few times. Parts of Ju88 and other components spread the area.
My uncle built his house on the airfield perimeter in the 90s. During fundament digging,
we found parts of duraluminium clustered the garden.

Cheers
