I have noticed a peculiarity with the Kingfisher (Oh, what a lovely plane!)
I did a test mission - no problem.
I did a "real" mission - Engine: off, Engine: off, Engine off. Absolutely no start.
Confused, confused.
Why sometimes engine on, why sometimes engine off?
After more tests I realized that when taking off from an authorized seaplane base the engine will start.
When taking off in the middle of the ocean the engine will not start.
OK - problem solved.
But I still don't understand why the engine won't start off-runway (seaway? sailway? waterway?).
Does anyone have an explanation?

Lamehawk, for the sake of others in the forum, please, always when you solve a problem, describe what the solution is, so that the next person doesn't have to ask the same question again.
it's the whole point of a forum like this. ;)

Well. The problem is not really solved.
Only in the sense that you can only start the engine at an authorized starting point.

The problem is that you cannot start the engine if you have a map with no seaplane bases. And thus not use the plane.
To me there is some logic missing. What is it that kills the engine when you are off-runway?
I simply don't understand  :(
