Excellent work, definately among the best spits in the game. Only one criticism, the rolling performance of the late spits with the new wing was vastly superior to previous spits at higher speeds. Your flight models don't really reflect this.

Show me evidence that the rolling speed was vastly superior and we'll gladly make these changes. Also is that compared to the standard C/E type wing or the clipped versions? The two main changes to this wings were to increase their strength as well as their critical mach number which would allow for increased stability at higher speeds. You do also have to be aware that the incredible torque effect of the Griffon with this size of prop means roll rate towards the moment is quite poor.

Great job to all involved!  8)

note:

roll rate chart from wwiiaircraftperformance.org

which give the mk 21 high marks on roll rate.

The offical test at Boscombe down stated that compared to the spitfire XIV, "At speeds below 300mph indicated there is little to choose between the two aircraft, but above this speed the spitfire 21 becomes increasingly superior due to its lighter ailerons". Also stated "Aileron control is light and positive at all heights and at all speeds upto 350mph indicated. Above this speed the ailerons tend to stiffen, the deteriation being more rapid above 400mph indicated, but never the less they are the best yet encounterd on any mark of spitfire".

Beautiful model, thank you very much. If I could draw your attention to the side door opening from inside(interior texture stays in position) and from outside interior texture missing.(unless its a conflict I am unaware of) Also could you add the external rear view mirror as its quite a prominent feature. Once again superb work.

I download againfor the update version, thanks for the pretty work, spit is my favorite plane in the game , but there are something bother me that why the F.24 is slow than other later fighters eg. bf09 and fw190s .
Even in the high altitude (already set the supercharger  key and when I push it nothing happend ,no message print),  and even if autopilot is used ,the spit still be catched with others. I'm confused to the best plane's performence. Anyone can help me how to make it perform it's real strength?

Thanks for the kind words.

The problem with the side door seems to be due to a conflict we're unaware of. You should be checking the log file in order to see if there's any line referring to a possible culprit.

Regarding the external rear view mirror, are you talking about the Mk 21? If so, it's already there. If you're talking about the F. 22 and 24, i've never seen such a feature on a single Spitfire of those late marks. Can you provide pics?

Actually, for what i've been able to test them, they're performing really close to their real counterparts regarding their top speeds.
As stated previously, the 22 and 24 were interceptors that gave their best at altitude, not on the deck.

The F. 24 is the best plane for what...exactly? Best looking plane? Fastest? Loudest?

Don't go with such statements, please. I could say the Re.2005 was the best plane, but still, this wouldn't be backed by facts. :-\

Sorry, you are right of course no rear view mirrors fitted to Mk22/24. Because it shows on the internal cockpit view I assumed it would have one externally  but I guess you are using an existing cockpit.

Also depending on your source, some say that the Bf-109K-4 in level flight was faster than a fully-loaded Spitfire.

Anyway if you do a speed test, you will find the Spitfire is faster in game however in combat it might not appear apparent.
