The SD coming together nicely, added a civvy made by Gio. ;)

The ladder was the last item I wanted to make for this, practically finished now I hope.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello again guys, well finally on the final run. :o

Just a few issues with the previous report from the SD civvy, here he is bailing. :D

I made a dead model and used the existing texture, unfortunately I do not know if it is possible to map that to the bailing
pilot mesh so the above is what you get.

There were also issues with the aircraft not getting destroyed because I removed the previous turret parts, I reverted
back but made them hidden and without ammo so we shall have to see what glitches I get from that. o_O

Anyway, moving on, the aircraft now has the iron sight:

Best I could do with the information I have.

Added twin guns from a Blenheim IV:

Also added a rather basic filter based on the previous one shown for the Mk.II to represent the desert type:

I found a code entry from SAS~Anto that allows this to show when the aircraft is on a desert map, sadly I can find nothing
to allow it for Pacific areas so there you get the standard one.

There are now five versions:

Lysander_1:  You already have this.
Lysander_2:  Adds the cowl without blisters and and the small air scoop.
Lysander_3   Adds twin gun armament and retains previous ones except the rear fuselage rack and what it carried was removed.
Lysander_3_SD:  Special duties with the large tank and civvy, also adds the ladder.  No rear gun but retains the other weapon options without the rear carrier.
Lysander_TT: Target tower, cannot function as one though.  Carries the winch and small tank.  Unarmed except for the forward firing guns although I think they could still       carry all the previous stuff.

This will close the project, the only thing it is without are the Lods but I have decided not to do them as the project has been going on now for far too long. ;)

I have also reverted back to a fixed canopy at the rear as they more often than not all appear open in photographs, and the overlays also reverted back
to a separate mesh due to issues with the wings.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Solution;

For pilot with different skinning add name:

Quote
[Materials]
Pilot_my

and add Pilot_my.mat and skin Pilot_my.tga

Leave Pilot1.mat with default line: TextureName pilot1.tga

See into my jets.

This must be what an artist says when finishing a canvas, but then  of course their usually thinking of the next work.

Wonder what you will tackle next ?  ;)

Not sure yet, maybe take time out, health issues make it difficult for me to do this anymore.  I no longer fly so the only time I use the game is to test the mods using AI, not much fun that really.  I have a long list of things I want to do but am looking maybe at trying to develop my 3d abilities further if I can, not much good at java really but it comes down to what I should concentrate on going forward and I feel I am more a artist than a coder so 3d or paint work.

I was asked to work on a large pack of aircraft that has been in work for a long time, I took a look but not really sure where to start if at all, I want the Lysander done before anything else.  There are many things I have to tinker with that have been awaiting my attention for a long time, whether I get around to them is another thing though.

I promised someone a few French skins so that is next up and sort out the readme ready for a test upload before the rest of you get the final. ;)

Anyway, think I sorted the filter issue, now shows for desert and CBI maps with the standard one for summer. :o

Needed to add code to the self stationary planes so the same was possible:

The above seems to be working okay in DBW 1,71 and BAT WAW so I think it is good to go.

Took most of yesterday to get this skin done, I promised someone a French scheme:

Has been posted for testing, I will inflict the latest update on you all in a week or so providing it has not broke anything. :D

Dear Mission_bug,
you do a wonderful work, bravo, bravo.
I am a little puzzled by the various versions of the Lysander inside BAT and their behaviours.
Could you please have a look on my thread in the BAT lounge named "New Lysander".
I got no reaction. Maybe you can bring us help.
Many thanks, congratulations and best regards.

Hello tartenmuche, I took a quick look at your post for BAT regarding the differences, the original versions of the Lysander were done by the guys at Freemodding so any problems you had I can only say please check their thread. ;)

My Lysander is the one that shows as Lysander_1  Lysander 1939 in BAT and is a earlier version than in my release thread that you can find here:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,55466.0.html

Hopefully at some time Simon will add this later version, for now it should be enough for you to add it in the WAW folder of BAT and have it load before the older version. ;)

The FM for my model is purely a place holder and really needs the attention of someone who is confident in making one fit this aircraft, I think I used the one from the Storch renamed and with a few changes so it will not follow the performance as written in manuals for the type, sorry.  I did try to model the slats and they work but again everything really needs a proper FM to give the aircraft the necessary performance.

All sources are in the download from the link above so if you know anyone with a love for this aircraft who can make a appropriate FM for my model they are welcome to adapt it as they see fit.
