Wingflyr's vehicles into 4.12.2

Hi all:

So, here I am trying to get this:

into 4.12.2.

I have no java knowledge at all and I realize that they can't just be brought over from DBW (experience is a great and heartless teacher!!).

For now I'm just settling for having the objects introduced through the static.ini. I've started with the USA_fuel_TRK but the wheels don't show up with the rest of the body. I first tried changing the name of the file live.him to live.sim - the vehicle shows but no wheels. I tried copying an existing .sim file from another vehicle but, again, the wheels don't show. I'm out of ideas from lack of knowledge.

I was wondering if someone would be interested in getting these back into play in 4.12.2.

That is a very good idea. Have you messaged the original creator for some advice? I like how this game has a lot of followers, and has a large modding community. It's very nice.

Wingflyr's vehicles MOD had a compatibility problem in its classfile and ini style.

When it will be remade as compatibility style , all environments 4.09/4.10.1/4.11.1/4.12.2/DBW/every HSFX/every UP will handle it in only "1" package.
Not only 4.12.2.
That work is not hard to Java MODDers. (but a bit complicated and need a time...)
I feel that's best to remake classfiles/ini by Wingflyr himself.
Do you ask him?

Yes, I did drop him a line but haven't heard anything.

Also yes, I know there were issues with this mod and that it only worked in DBW. In fact, when I dropped the folder into my #SAS folder last week without any text entries at all for it, the game crashed at 60% or 70%. This was the reason for my trying to just use them as static.ini objects so at least the models were in the game - they look too good to leave out.

The vehicle entries are in the stationary and chief and technics.ini.
The static ini is for static objects so of course its not gonna work.
Wflyer wont be able to help you with java programming for 4.12, but his stock slot replacement armor, guns, etc should work in 4.12.
I got all his mods working fine together in DBW 1.71.
