I am one of the people awaiting DBW to be merged with HSFX. I know MA 5.3 can be merged with HSFX but for now I just wanted some QMB missions ("Maps") in my HSFX QMB. I stumbled upon the answer and here is how it worked out.
Disclaimer: Do Not do Anything until you backup(create a copy) of your existing working game.
I took HSFX from 23 QMB "maps" to 59.
In DBW main folder go to missions (not Quicks, that is later).
Inside the Missions folder open QuickQMBPro.
Take the folders to the HSFX missions / Quick folder and drop them in.

I added a few maps at a time. I had to Alt, Ctrl, Del to get out of the game when some maps locked up the game. So go slow and test EVERYTHING.
I got rid of some of the "maps" that were redundant. i.e. I got rid of CoralSeaOnline and kept Pacific_CoralSeaOnline from DBW.
Also, I say "maps" because they are not really maps. In these folders are missions that enable QMB to work. A bunch of SAS smart guys did all the work. Now we get to reap the benefits in HSFX 7.0.1. as well as DBW.
I did not create anything here. I'm explaining how you can get more "maps" in HSFX QMB.
While I was at it (and since I back up my game on a weekly basis) I felt brave. So I started adding my QMB missions that I had created in DBW. So, this is the Quicks folder from your main IL2 folder. This is where the missions you make in QMB are. I grabbed mine from DBW and they worked in HSFX but not all of them. I felt pretty dishearten when I started with HSFX and felt like I had started from scratch. I had 323 QMB missions and was able to keep approximately 220. I load tested every one. I removed the obvious ones with aircraft I don't have in HSFX. Again, a lot of Alt, Ctrl, Del when shit did not work. But now all my missions work.
Now, I really feel like I am ready to explore HSFX with more missions "maps"... whatever.
