Bf109 (B through E) cockpit : is that lever supposed to move ?

Hi all,

I wonder if that lever (supercharger control ? EDIT: rather the oil cooler) is supposed to move in-game ? I made several experiments but it always stays in the same position. If you take a look in the hier file you can see that it seems to be able to.  Moreover, on the second pic (extracted from the Il2 1946 aircraft guide) you can see that same lever in another position. Any clue ?
