Hello,
I am relatively new to IL 2 gaming and currently have IL 2 1946 with patches up too 4.12.2. I really enjoy the game and decided to download some of the excellent skins provided here and on the net. I was able too successfully download several FW-190A-8 skins. My joy soon turned to disappointment when I tried to select the new 190  skins at the start of a quick Mission. I noticed the downloaded skins still had a white "1" aircraft number from the default FW-190A-8 underneath the aircraft markings of the downloaded aircraft. Is there any way I can remove this so it will not mar the markings on my downloaded skins. Any help would be very much appreciated. I am new to the game and a little technically challenged.

In the arming screen un check the " Markings on" switch.
Then you have no default game markings showing.

Thanks Gunny for the info. I feel a little stupid. Now If I can only remember how I installed the skins so I can add additional schemes.
