I made a splash screen pack for HSFX 7.02. Get them here: https://www.mediafire.com/download/qdh678j1njru711/Files.zip
To install all you have to do is 1) unzip them and 2)Place them in your main HSFX game folder. The file structure should be: Main game folder/Files/gui/splash screens

You sure that's the correct location for these files? I placed them in the Files/gui folder but I didn't see any changes. By 'splashscreen', do you mean the loading screen? The loading screen images did not change for me.

Yes these change the game loading screen. There are six backgrounds that are chosen at random when you start the game. These replace the WIDESCREEN loading screens, not the 4:3 ones. If you are using a widescreen monitor. To ensure they work try deleting all six of the wide_background.tga, all six wide_background.mat located in files/gui/. Then, delete all six background.tga and all six background.mat files in that folder. Finally place my custom splashscreens in that folder and then you should be all set. Let me know if this does the trick and if the backgrounds alternate as they should!

just out of curiosity - is there a chance to get some of the great Modact 5.30 backgrounds into, lets say DBW?
where are they stored? in an sfs file? I would love to get some of those as backgrounds in DBW/newTFM

I'm not sure, if I were you I'd ask Monty27 in the New-TFM thread, but from my knowledge (I run New-TFM too) it is stored in DBW/std. You could probably extract the sfs files from Modact and overwrite the background.tga inside the std folder. Ask Storebror and Monty 27.

Did you follow the instructions? Are you using hsfx?
