Hello Alfie,

I've got my hands on some few hundred photos of planes in Romanian service from 1909 to 1948, most of them ~=200 are from 1909 to the early 20s.
Each photo has a detailed description of the plane model (I mean how many units existed in Romania, where were they assigned and so on)
I will try to post photos now and then. It's just that I have to photo each photograph with my smartphone.

Great pics.  Hard to imagine all of that as the cutting edge of technology at the time but that's what it was.

Ref the rest in peace post.  Am I wrong or is that one photo the impression left in the grass from a pilot hitting the ground??

Yes tomoose.......

I was looking for a photograph that would both commemorate the WW I centenary and serve as a reminder of the fate of many of these gallant airmen.
I discovered many horrific images but I thought that photograph was more respectful of the dead.....

Sometimes I have to remind myself that DBW 1916 is just a game......and the first world war most certainly wasn't

a page back or so, there is a line up of Albatros fighters, which feature the wing strut brace as on D.Va but also have the smaller "square" rudder that I think of a s a D.II/D.III feature. Just curious about these fighters, is there any other info?
