LOL - I bet SAS_farang65 recognises that place!  8)

SAS~Benitomuso made the tools and features and SAS~Storebror did most of the Modact code.

Alongside them are the legion of 3D modders, map-makers, texture artists who build all this stuff - They are the real superbeings.

We are just like kids playing with a new toybox, coming over to your place real soon... ;D

Oh my LORD, this massive update looks so damn promising! Makes me wish my PC was able to let the OpenGL to access "Perfect" graphic video settings for IL-2 instead of just "Excellent". >~<

I guess most of us appreciate to some extent the humongous amount of coding and debugging that all this work represents, then the collating and tidying of so much work from so many different people - to say nothing of the uploading and subsequent checking.

When I first bought IL2 Forgotten Battles, I was amazed. Since then PF, 1946, Peska/Manchuria, 4.07,08,09, Ostfront and several other add-ons  before Team Daedalus took up the mantle and forward to 4.10, 4.11 and 4.12, with even a fourth offering in the wings. And then of course, there are SAS, DBW + UP. Amazing, every one.

I take my hat off to the whole crowd who have kept, and continue to keep, this decade-old game alive.

Modders, coders, compilers, all of you - take a bow.

The importance of a good graphics card cannot be over-stated. - Something like an Nvidia 750GTX is around 200 bucks.  Its not cheap but is well worth every cent.  In my case getting a decent card transformed my rig, which is otherwise quite average; 6Gb RAM, Intel Quadcore.  ;D

RDDR is packing something monstrous with 16Gb+ and alien technology, and even then it was a pretty reasonable investment not out of reach for us mortals.  One day...  8)

Indeed it is. :D

Actually I have an "Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M" graphics card and it's proving to be a noble steed. The only problem is, whenever I set "OpenGL" and go to put "Perfect" settings, it's highlighted in grey, as in I cannot access "Perfect" graphics mode...

That shouldn't be. There are better people than me to sort it out, and I'm sure they'll be along soon, but the first thing that crosses my mind is have a look at your confini.

I am going to jump into the TARDIS, travel in time a few days, and go see how good CFM it is...  I'll be back to report.

Wait, but I already said too much!
