i wonder why TFM doesn't get its own dedicated sub-forum, wouldn't that make things a bit easier in terms of asking questions, giving tips, promoting missions/campaigns specially made for TFM?

I love the ambiguity of language - capable of so many interpretations.

We're all on tenterhooks waiting for the release 'by the weekend' of CFM.

Yet is strikes me that with SAS being a global cooperative, the question arises of 'whose weekend'? Monty, for instance, is in Australia, and other SAS members are scattered across the globe. Monty's just a few hours away from the weekend. I'm about to go to work.

How does one organise these sort of things? Do the SAS team agree on a particular time zone (e.g. GMT) or does one member take the lead and release it when they are ready regardless of where they are located on the planet? It would for instance be tough on Monty to have to conform to the daylight hours of GMT (London).

All the best. Tick-tock!

Naah that's only a guide, between now and Monday, depending on a few more checks between people who are all over the globe.  I will post it though.  Its a long weekend here in Australia as we celebrate Australia Day on Monday but actually begin to prep the barbies and eskys, about now actually!  So I will have plenty of time to get it done in between beers.  ???

I feel a bit compressed on occasion as well when I hear my Skype ringing at 05:30 in the AM
and this cheery voice says "Ello Chris? What time is it there in Santa Fe NM?....He knows ;)
It's then I realize it's not going to be a dull day.
I feel a bit sorry for Marcus as he is often odd man out on the time Zone but he says "We Finns are a tough bunch".
Five years of a great friendship  (a must),!! No silly ego trips or haggling ...Three TFM's  and now CFM.
I'm sure all of you are gonna get a kick out of this one. Hope so! ;)
Cheers

I cant wait either.  I haven't played IL2 in years and a couple of weeks back I decided to look into what was required to bring it into this decade mod wise.

However the amount of downloads and configurations put me off and I was gonna give up on it. Then I find out about this supermod. Happy days.

Got a query though.

Do I still need to edit my config.ini file all will this mod do all that?

As far as I know. (if I'm wrong, please correct this)   CFM will do that for you, but only for the CFM mod itself.   The config.ini will only have to be modified if you ADD any other mods that require to edit the config.ini after installing CFM.  An example would be adding a new aircraft that is not included in CFM.

Just to be clear!!!  This is assuming you will install CFM over a clean version of IL2 1946 4.12.2. or the latest TFM mod as per Monty's instruction manual.  If you try installing CFM on a previously modded version, I can't account for that:((
