Normfly waypoint using "ArtSpot" option
« on: April 03, 2014, 10:20:40 AM »

Hi all:

I've been pulling my hair out over trying to get a plane to consistently use the "ArtSpot" option. Sometimes the plane circles left - sometimes right. This issue is really annoying since there's no point in having the aircraft circling if it's missing a target you want it to indicate.

It seems the "Angle" has no affect on the aircraft in this option.

Another annoying habit of the AI guys is that, if the flight path has any angle to it at the "Normfly" way point before the "ArtSpot" waypoint then plane does all sorts of aerobatics at the "Normfly" waypoint that have, in the extreme, caused it to crash. Related: If the aircraft comes as the "ArtSpot" waypoint with any deviation from the flight path then the same thing occurs at the "ArtSpot" waypoint itself. I've worked around this issue but it requires a lot of room and involves making sure the aircraft is right on the flight path as it approaches the "Normfly" waypoint before the "ArtSpot" waypoint.

If anyone has any ideas or has figured this out please me know.

Thanks in advance.
