Here are some WWII Russian/German/Finish airfields for Google Earth
kmz files I found on a Russian site. :)

Gerax, what did you do? I can find airfields using the airplane icon that Google Earth displays on its maps. I assume that these are either current airfields or airfields that were used in the past. Some even have the old runway still visible.

Do you use any other type of search technique?

The makers of this kmzs provide not only the locations but also some more info about this airfields used in WWII than you can get in Google-Earth at a glance. Thats all. Use it ad libitum.  ;)
