New Armor Pack ~ v3.2 out!
« on: May 04, 2014, 10:45:13 AM »

Hello all! I'm working with extending my Franken tanks & SPGs pack, some of the things that will be in extended version are the T-34-100 and T-44-100, with LB-1 cannon. I've made it from Melissa's T-55A gun adding transparent part to the texture. But also barrel of this gun needs internal sides, I cannot make it because I don't have experience working with 3D :( May be someone can help me? If not, I will leave this parts black :-\

It is supposed to be black colored, but if
you paint some light grey effects into it, you can make it look 3d.
You decide, I just give suggestions.

I agree that will be looking good, although for example, D25T of IS-2 has holes in muzzle brake... Well, if nobody do what I would like to see before all tanks I'm planning to make will be done, then I'll follow your suggestion, Max! :) Thank you! ;)

Ok.
I take a look at that IS-2 tank gun close up and saw the details you want to
create. That is the type of 3-D work you want to see. I understand.
Very nice details.
I thought you were just talking about the hole in the cannon.
Dont worry,
Good luck and have fun with it

I think that to get a good effect with the 3D, we must act as if it were a bucket and Texturing both the internal and the external, and then do with the alpha channel transparency on both sides.

Greetings Gio.

(Credo che per ottenere un buon effetto col 3d , bisogna fare come se fosse un secchio e testurizzare sia l interno che l esterno e poi fare le trasparenze con lo alpha channel sui due lati)

I'm sorry but using another 3D program (I think you use GMax) I can not advise you properly because the mapping system is different from what I normally use, if you send me the piece 3d 3ds format see if I can help.

contact me in PM for E-Mail

Hello gyus! I have "public voting" to provide, I want to know which variant would you prefer...

T-44-100 with D-10T gun (without muzzle break)

T-44-100 with LB-1 gun (with muzzle break)
(old screenshot :D)

These two guns are identical in ballistics, so here in Il-2 only visually they are different (there were some internal differences, but here they don't matter)

Make your choice, what do you prefer? :)
