You're welcome Gerhard, nice show with that Mistel.

Nothing special here, just a screenie of myself.
As always, my Flickr images are available in 4K resolution on click.

Not sure if I should post screenshots of our latest session, we've got our butts kicked so much it still hurts lol :P

I should be a photographer! (Nope)

[Sunday's Session]

Conky shot the living daylights out of my poor IL-10 in a IJA vs USSR battle :'(

Crash landed past enemy borders onto USSR controlled land to save myself and time (couldn't be bothered to go to the airfield, it'd be useless)

Terrible photo, but I swear it was a 5 v 1 situation, didn't capture it but it was like trying to swat mosquitos in a forest..

[Tuesday's Session feat. Chuffolites]
=======================

Was on the server a bit earlier than everyone - these AI's were crazy. #15 cut across the landing strip and almost went straight into me and #18 went straight into all those aicrafts there...  :-X

My poor Rote 65 got peppered by Pe-8's... It took quite a few rounds to rip them open...  :-X

The engine was starting to lose power, I couldn't give a crap though, and manged to get her to the base, but, well, rogered the landing. At least I made it back! :o

Posing with Conky (#3), Bounder (#14) and yours truly, the one and only, forever, and always, Ghost129er in his #65 Butcher bird.

Got out of the cockpit to stretch my legs out a bit. *Runs around like a lunatic*

"HI CONKY!!!!"
*Yells and runs away*

"HI HI HI"
*Invades personal space.* This mod is amazing.

If you took a look at all those, look at this, may as well.

Bout the mirror, you could use my cockpit instead,
if you wish...not perfect

That POV thing is really interisting BTW, e.g. in UP 2.01 I have a way better view point in the FW-190s compared to UP3 or IES3.
I know that compromise with the raised view is not without drawback as for aft cockpit posit, but since I spend most times looking forward I find it very pleasing.

Same issue with different views on the front for P-51As in UP3 I assume. Anyway, will test this myself later this week offline..

Here the pit..

Ricky,

I love the screen shots! Please keep posting them. I don't get the chance to fly very often, so it makes me feel like I'm not missing too much.

Sincerely,

James

From those who live to tell...

Last sunday during the weekly FAC session we've been flying Conky's excellent "Mosquito Strike Amiens" mission on our SAS Gameserver for the very first time and I think it's worth telling the story in pictures.
All images available in 4K resolution on click as always.

The mission features a Mosquito raid against german supplies at Amiens main station.
Everything starts with grouping up at RAF Shoreham:

The Clowns lined up for takeoff:

Skylla took the lead, slowly climbing to departure altitude:

Clowns lining up behind skylla:

... episode 2 of "Mosquito Strike Amiens".
All images available in 4K resolution on click as always.

The clowns crossing the channel.

Skylla at the pole position sets the course, 114° from RAF Shoreham to the Somme estuary.
We tried hard to fly together in something that the unsuspecting spectator might want to call "formation":

The briefing orders told to stay below 150ft to avoid the Kraut's radar, sometimes this worked well, sometimes less so :P

Another view from my side, the ground crew wasn't british and "camouflage" obviously doesn't have the same meaning in every region of the world:

... episode 3 of "Mosquito Strike Amiens".
All images available in 4K resolution on click as always.

The clowns reaching the river Somme and flying down to Amiens.

Finally the french coast appears in the dust and we were happy to see that we missed the Somme estuary just by a mile to the north.
Skylla took a right hand turn to guide us straight to river Somme.
We were a little shocked to see all the boats lying there (remember we were supposed to come in as surprise for the Krauts) but apparently most if not all of them were just french fishermen.
Apparently.
We'll get back to that later ;)

The bridges were very tempting.
Followers of our FAC screenshot thread will know that the Clowns have a habit of crossing bridges underneath.
This time however we had a mission to fulfill so we grudgingly accepted that this was neither the right time nor the right place for posing.

Clowns crowd: "Oh see, Amiens! Where's our target?"
Skylla: "Keep cool guys, this is Abbeville."
