This is fantastic! It's like I'm watching a movie! It also makes me sad that I haven't flown with you guys for a while.  :(

I'm working on getting a new computer.

Till then,

Auf Wiedersehen!

... episode 11 of "Mosquito Strike Amiens".
All images available in 4K resolution on click as always.

The Clowns coming home to RAF Shoreham with aerial victories when you least expect them.

Remember the 110s engaging Storebror?
Silly Krauts. What an epic fail:

This was their first and last mistake.

Attacker No.1 feeding fishes while his wingman ran home in a blue funk:

The final episode 12 of "Mosquito Strike Amiens".
All images available in 4K resolution on click as always.

Home sweet home at RAF Shoreham.

Second aerial vistory by Storebror, this was an Fw 190 with target fixation, trying to catch Skylla and Loku.
He will not try that again :D

Skylla coming home with a perfect landing:

Our fighter boys, gotta love them.

We usually have lots of AI planes on the missions we're flying on the SAS Gameserver, so in order to easier spot fellow FAC pilots we usually fly with lights on.
Only exception to this rule is when we fly two-sided missions where it's not always desireable to let other know at distance that you're not AI ;)

ok, is what I thought but just to be sure :)
I think AI don't mind about lights, I mean them don't spot you easily, right?

Wrong ;)

It is right for standard UP3, but we're not standard, we're the SAS.
The AI on our server does care for lights, even more when it's getting dark.
It's all about visibility.
While in standard UP3 the AI can look through walls and mountains but won't care for lights, on our Server it's all about realistic visibility.

Only exception here are clouds.
In the IL-2 world, clouds are not synchronized online.
This means that the clouds you are seeing aren't the clouds others see, hence hiding in clouds online is pointless.

We've been discussing this on TeamSpeak several times before.
Looks like you're not listening to me... well Gerhard, if we're that far already, we'll soon get married :P
